"7am, Saturday morning, alarm goes off! Rick set me up for a 9am oil change, I think I’m going to have to reschedule. Up late, I could easily sleep to 10 not to mention it’s a hundred mile ride (one way)! I peek out the window, whoa, it’s nice plus it is their Spring Open House, John and company typically sets up a great spread for these, coffee, good food, sales on parts, even the Service Team is there. OK; I’m going! 1.5 hours (and it’s way later than 9) Rick gets my K12 checked in. Earlier in the week, I talked to him about a set of Ohlin shocks. I decided not to do it but when I got there Rick talked to the boss about an Open House deal, which sounded fantastic but no pressure, he said, check with some of the people here, I’m sure you can find a few with Ohlins. 5 minutes later I tell Rick; let’s do it! It took most of the day but lunch was great and I’ve noticed there is always good people that gravitate around Cycle Specialties. Needless to say the ride back was 100 times better! The performance and feel of these shocks are un-freakin-believable! I have 26K on my bike and in the back of my mind I thought; OK, this may not feel much different than what I had. WRONG! It is the best thing I ever did (performance wise)! My Bike feels better than brand new and now it goes exactly where I point it. This is the most control I have ever had on this machine, the difference is amazing! Well, life is good and thanks (again) to all the Cycle Specialties family; I luv you guys!

First class products and business practices, yet not one bit of pressure. "prior to buying a bike I was able to test ride several bikes at this dealership. My budget was not big enough for a bmw so I bought a suzuki 650 vstrom. I countinued to stop by the dealership and was treated great and even invited and went on some shop rides. On 6/15/06 I traded in my suzuki for an 06 r1200gs. I love this bike! I have 7500 miles now and agree it is a very fun ride. The service dept and staff treat me like family. It is a pleasure to have this dealership in my neck of the woods."

From the first time I stepped foot in your dealership, I have been very impressed with you and your staff's ability to make me feel welcome, your attention to my questions and your expertise and assistance in my quest to make my RT "fit". All this when I didn't even buy the bike from you!!! I certainly don't mind the trip up from Fresno County to take care of my service and farkle needs and wants. I appreciate the friendly atmosphere at Cycle Specialties! Also, I would be derelict if I didn't throw in kudos for your sister Deb and the great job she did on alterations on my First Gear Kilamenjaro Pants. As an "inseam challenged" individual, it is difficult to get gear that fits, and I know that future purchases can be "made to fit" by her capable abilities.

The more I deal with Cycle Specialities and the people there the more I come to enjoy the idea of "just dropping by". All is definately off to a good start and running well. This is just a brief note to pass along to you how much you, your staff, and your showroom impressed me during my service appt. last Saturday, July 23, 2005.
I am skeptic by nature, and have grown to be a doubter when it comes to service on my 1997 R1100RT. I have always had it serviced by another BMW dealer - where I bought the bike - in San Jose. The main reason that I have it serviced there despite some uncomfortable occurrances with service is that it is very convenient. I am able to drop my bike off in the morning, and walk to my office. At the end of the day, my bike is usually ready to be picked up - but not without complications.
However; first impressions go a very long way for me. My scheduled appt. with Cycle Specialties was not only for an ordinary service. It was also to get XM Satellite radio installed on my bike along with that of my friends' (Tracy Snyder)
R1200RT - which she purchased @ Cycle Specialties weeks earlier. Quite a number of fellow Oakland Motorcycle Club members have raved to me about Cycle Specialties, but the convenience issue with SJBMW disallowed me to get service in Modesto until last Saturday. I must admit that I have been to Cycle Specialties before - even puchased some BMW apparel there - just never had service done. I was somewhat nervous when I entered your store on Saturday, which quickly disappeared once I met/spoke with your staff - John (mech) and Dirk, in particular. The both of them portrayed an aura of confidence about what they do, and that they were very good at what they do. I did not sense any doubt about our service being done. On the contrary, we (Tracy and I) were told that we would be absolutely thrilled when we return to pick up our bikes at the end of the day.
Once the bikes were handed off, Tracy and I were filling out our forms for our loaner bike which was previously requested (when the appt. was originally made two weeks prior). When you found out that we were planning to ride to Yosemite for the day, you "upgraded" the loaner bike to a more suitable one for our day trip without hesitation!! (Classy touch!!)
There were moments throughout the day while we were riding that we wondered how everything was progressing on our bikes (which is only natural). Without cell service, we could not even call to check in! So, when the end of the day arrived, and we had returned form our day trip, it was a wonderful sight to see both of our bikes parked out front with all of the service complete. Not only was everything done, it was done in an exceptional manner. It was close to closing time when we returned - approx. 5:45, yet John took the extra time to give both Tracy and I a brief tutorial about XM Radio. That is a classic example of service that is never expected, but greatly appreciated!! Additionally, well beyond the closing our of your store, you allowed Tracy and I internet access to activate our XM Radio - another classy touch!!
Both Tracy and I ended up purchasing some additional BMW apparel that you didn't mind ringing up after closing.
All in all, I can tell you without hesitation, that I am exceptionally impressed with Cycle Specialties, and from this day forward will make Cycle Specialties my #1 place for BMW service and apparel.
Thanks again for creating a very positive first impression!
