Even after shedding a lot of weight, the R1200GS can still fall hard and damage the steering stop. The Hard Part LA becomes the primary steering stop, protecting both the Telelever arm, front suspension sliders, and the original steering stop at the top clamp.
The Hard Part LA R1200GS is manufactured from laser-cut aluminum and a tough nylon block, which absorbs the impact.
